Drawing upon the UN's unique comparative advantage of universality, legitimacy, neutrality, and experience in promoting human development worldwide, the UN ICT Task Force is positioned to build collaborative partnerships to help bridge the digital divide. The UN ICT Task Force will provide a global forum for national, regional and international ICT-for-development issues through multi-stakeholder partnership, and will promote the deployment and transfer of ICT-for-development, including human resource development and training, health, gender, enterprise development, and e-government through actions at the local, national, sub-national and regional levels, including South-South cooperation.
